basically everything Mercedes makes now looks exactly the same
besides the headlights, there is basically nothing different about the two cars from this angle... even the rims are pretty much the same!
here, mercedes basically reused the same interior, i mean sure that can be a good thing, but doesnt it feel like people driving the s class fell a little cheated on since they can get the same interior for less, and most of the extra they paid for the car went into the back seat?

But yes, very true points.

I know, and I don’t like it. I saw an S600 Maybach on the highway a couple weeks before Christmas. I had to look several times and get closer to make sure I wasn’t looking at a C300....

The new E is the evolution of the current E here:

looks more like a evolution of the c class w205, if you know what I mean

the current E is an evolution of the current C here:

It is, at the same time the C uses the design language that was brought in with the 2014 (launched in 2013) E Class which borrows heavily from the W222. It’s sort of like saying your parents look like you rather than you look like your parents.

The current E facelift launched in 2013 as a 2014 model (2014-2016) with design language implemented from the W222. I’m just pointing out that the current C front end launched on the current now old E.

true, but my major complaint is that Mercedes vehicles look too similar. I understand carrying over design cues and everything, but the new e class looks exactly like a w205 c class. this is even worse than audi is with their corporate singleframes. at least audi used different interior designs and has some differences on the exterior stylings.

Exactly the same?
I suppose.

With the direction they're going, it would seem that their road car products will end up looking exactly the same

Everything that is old is new again my friend:
And this is from what many consider would be MB’s glory days.
